Rosie

Just something I thought I'd draw to pass the time! I saw this really amazing dress  http://img1.etsystatic.com/009/1/5949275/il_570xN.440215473_6kyc.jpg and had to draw it. I didn't really do it justice though, so I might try drawing it again.

Devereaux Fox

Another drawing done in photoshop (surprise, surprise). The general idea of this guy had been floating around in my head for a couple of days, taking no physical form until yesterday. Basically he's this wealthy aristocrat from the 1920s who eats peoples hearts... ha, it sounds kind of stupid written out but it's really gotten me excited. I actually want to try sticking with this and maybe make a mini comic out of it (if I have the patience of course and am able to overcome my ever consuming procrastination). I absolutely love anything to do with the 1920s so hopefully this will hold my interest for a little while longer!

Sadine & Renfry

A really quick sketch of Sadine & Renfry (Sadine is an undead zombie thing) from the the previous comic. Just thought I'd do this before bed.

The Story of Sadine

I used to love making comics for my eyes only but usually never had the patience to complete a fully coloured one. Last year for my grade 12 culminating I made a 12 panelled comic and it nearly killed me! I honestly don't know how people can pump-out 3-4 fully rendered comic pages a week and still have time to do other things during the day! This was pretty easy to do mostly because the background and girl stay in the same position the entire time and the panel layout is extremely basic. If your having trouble reading the text it might be easier here http://mlodu.deviantart.com/art/The-Story-of-Sadine-375511385?ga_submit_new=10%253A1370203895

The Musician, Minus Instrument

This was especially fun to draw solely because of all the references from different eras I used to create her outfit. The dress was modelled after one from the late 40s (I think) and the boots from the late victorian era. The hat is all the way from the 16th century and the earrings are modeled after ancient Peruvian ones.I got all the references from the Metropolitan Museum of Art http://www.metmuseum.org/Collections/search-the-collections/80096604 . Next I think i'll draw some guys. I just never draw guys.

The Thief

Another photoshop sketch. I'm slowly starting to feel a bit better about hands and feet.

Alora

Had fun creating a more formal look for the girl sitting in the tree from my previous post.
